Right on the edge of downtown, the Foreshore Trail follows the shore of Salmon Arm Bay through one of the Interior's most important migratory bird estuaries. Wide paths and boardwalks lead to a viewing platform for birdwatching, and a side trail heads out to Christmas Island for open views across the bay. It's an easy, mostly flat walk that's lovely in any season.
